C’è qualcuno là fuori che è cresciuto con equazioni matematiche trasformate in riffs? Se è così, ascoltate questo! Il demo ep di debutto dei Blame It On The Ocean è esattamente 12 minuti e 5 secondi di tutto quello che volete sentire in un gruppo hardcore. E’ veloce, selvaggio, pieno di forza, ed è determinato a distruggere tutto quello che odia!
Chiunque può urlare in un microfono e chiunque può saltare in giro con una chitarra, e inevitabilmente chiunque potrebbe far schifo. Blame It On The Ocean non lo fanno.
Le loro canzoni sono fatte con una passione che viene dal cuore che ti avvolge nella canzone e non ti da solo un qualcosa da urlare, o da saltare in giro, ma anche qualcosa da ascoltare. Questo demo ep dimostra che i Blame It On The Ocean non stanno tentando di essere un’altro gruppo hardcore, ma stanno lavorando duro per creare una musica che ti cattura.
Fanno uso di una buona intelligenza attraverso le melodie delle chitarre e le armonie che dipingono le parti vocali ed enfatizzano la loro passione.
Non c’è un momento noioso che si possa trovare su questo cd, ha quasi un ruvido suono live che completa le canzoni, riempendole di energia, portandole in vita. Non mi sorprende che questo gruppo sia stato scelto per suonare con gruppi come Terror e Gold Kids. Personalmente, se questa è la qualità di un primo demo, sono impaziente di sentire cos’altro questo gruppo riesce a fare, e il mio consiglio ad ogni lettore sarebbe : non siate rammolliti e ascoltateli ad alto volume!

Blame it on the Ocean’s debut Demo EP is exactly twelve minutes and five seconds of everything you want to hear in a hardcore band and then some. It’s raw, fast, forceful, and it’s determined to destroy everything it hates!
Anyone can scream down a microphone and anyone can jump around with a guitar, and inevitably, anyone can suck at it. Blame it on the Ocean do not. Their songs have heart felt passion which wraps you up in the song and not only gives you something to shout along, or jump around to, but something to listen to. This Demo EP proves that Blame it on the Ocean are not setting out to be just another hardcore band, but are working hard to create capturing music. They make good use of well thought through guitar melodies and harmonies which draw you in to the vocals and emphasize their passion.
There isn’t a boring moment to be found on this CD, it has an almost coarse live sound which compliments the songs, filling them with energy, bringing them to life. It is no surprise to me that this band has been picked out to play with bands like Terror and Gold Kids. Personally, if this is the quality of a first demo, I cannot wait to hear what else this band can do, and my advice to any reader would be, don’t be a pussy, and turn them up loud!
